Tarahumara Family, Chihuahua, Mexico, Not For Sale

I’ve been photographing this tribe in Paloma’s, Mexico, which is a small Border Town below Colombus, New Mexico.  The members of this tribe still dress in traditional clothing which is all hand sewn, and colorful as you can see. Many of the women sew and embroider beautiful quilts that are very intricate, vibrant and very beautiful. Each time I go to Paloma’s I often see the same family’s and they are very gracious, allowing me to photograph them more as I get to know them, however the women and children are generally more open to being photographed than the men in this tribe. I’ve grown closer to these families in the past year or two and I’m hoping they will continue to extend their gracious acceptance of allowing me to photograph this most beautifully preserved Indian tribe and their traditions.
